Hey everyone! I know it has been a few weeks since my last post because I was having some computer problems on top of being extremely busy training, practicing, and becoming a better athlete and football player. So far, the season is going really well. We are on top of our conference and getting better every week. This week we are heading down to Virginia for what is sure to be another tough conference game. This morning I hit the gym early and got a great lower body workout in. In the next few weeks I plan to get some nice footage of myself and some other guys on the team training in the trenches. It will be a nice opportunity for a lot of you to get an inside look at what REAL professional football players are doing to get better. I am also going to post a few highlights up to this point in the season as well. I am also going to be posting more articles as well so stay tuned! My last article was also published on EliteFTS.com so check it out right here. Below is how my Tuesday lower body session went.

So today I hit it hard with one of my buddies on the team. I had another good workout and I am very pleased at this point in the season with my ability to maintain my strength during the season. Obviously as the season progresses and the more wear and tear I endure, I will adjust the workouts accordingly. Today I started off by getting a nice long session in rolling out before I warmed up because I was pretty tight after practice last night. The workout looked like this:

The start of the week has been a little off for me since I had to drive back from NJ on Monday. By the time I got to the gym to train I did not have much time before I had meeting and film. Because of this I banged out 5 round of deadlifts at 245 for sets of 10. It has been a while since I did high rep deads but they felt amazing. I woke up today though and my body was definitely feeling it. I also did 8-10 chin-ups in between each round of deadlifts because I was strapped for time. Although I had some great intensity and little down time in between sets, this was all that I had time to do on Monday. Although I just did deadlifts and chin-ups, I hit them hard and I was actually pretty rocked today. I am a firm believer that doing deadlifts, as well as other compound movements, will put muscle in places that you didn’t even know existed.

Its been a few weeks since I posted a workout but here is my latest workout from Tuesday of this week. I’ve been a bit busy with football but I’ll make sure to get back on track. If you’ve been keeping up with my posts, you know that I have changed my training regimen to twice a week since I am now in-season. I am applying a new in-season workout method that I believe will really help me maintain my strength and possibly even gain a little down the road.
